Jamal Murray Panini Obsidian Base Showcase

Panini introduced Obsidian to NBA basketball in 2018-19, making Jamal Murray's #60 base card part of the brand's inaugural hardwood release. Obsidian uses Panini's Optichrome technology, pairing a dark base design with neon-style color accents and Electric Etch parallels that numbered 49 or fewer in the debut product. Its first hobby boxes contained five cards and averaged two autographs, two inserts or parallels, and one base or rookie card, with Galaxy autographs, Rookie Jersey Autographs, and Vitreous die-cuts among the key chases. With Topps becoming the NBA and NBPA's exclusive licensee for 2025-26, 2024-25 concludes this Panini Obsidian Basketball run.
